“What’s in a name?”
A kitchen table, lots of coffee and our husbands provided the inspiration we needed to create the name The Butterfly Effect.
Credit for the name goes to the men in our lives, who are not only our biggest supporters but also happen to be the ones who threw the name into the mix. Thanks guys!

Nicky and I grew up in the same small town but had never met until she became my manager when I accepted an administration role back when I was in my 20’s. We soon discovered a lot of common interests, we had children the same age, our husbands played and coached rugby, we were both heavily involved in coaching netball and so on and so on. A close friendship formed and the proposal that we should work together in our own business was raised. The only question remaining was “what to do?” not “when?”.
A common interest in styling and interior design led to the proposal to home stage together. The timing proved perfect for us both, so here we are. Backed by a strong work ethic, belief in ourselves and a passion for home décor and styling, we are determined to succeed….what you put in is what you get back right!?

As Angie touched on, we both grew up in a small town nearby, but with a few years between us our paths never crossed. It was when Angie accepted a position at my workplace many years ago that a close friendship formed. Over the years, through shared tears and lots of laughter, our friendship has held strong and it seemed only natural that we would one day work together again.
When Angie approached me to gauge my interest in starting a Home Staging business it was an instant “yes” from me. The timing, the business concept, our partnership – it just felt right and everything fell in to place the day we sat brainstorming names over coffee. There was an immediate connection to The Butterfly Effect, it ties in so well with want we want to achieve and the mug with the image that inspired the name is now a treasured memento.
It’s with great excitement that we begin this endeavour. We can’t wait to get stuck in, we look forward to the challenges ahead and we especially look forward to working with you.
